Everything is Just for a Season

America will reign in God’s righteousness again; Christians should not fear.

As a Christian living in America, I was happy to see the current administration call on “faith” to rise and help the country’s status. However, there is one thing I observed: before this, many administrations called on faith to help with disaster in the country, yet America’s status continues to decay. The only answer I can see at this point is that America needs to repent. The problem here has nothing to do with equity, government or human principles; it has to do more with the history of the country. The early inhabitants made a covenant with God, and today, America has drifted. God cannot bless those who turn their backs on Him. The Psalm warned, “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.” (Psalm 9:17).

Nevertheless, today, we must have hope. The country is in a time when it needs to define what UNITED the people of each state. Yet, Christians who live in the country must remember that our God is bigger than the issues we are currently facing. The Church fought bigger battles than what is happening in the USA today, and one thing is for sure, the Church always comes out victorious.

It is not the Time to Throw in the Towels

Let us not give up! When situations are vile, as Christians, we still rest in the assurance that the Lord Jesus Christ is in control and that He can do the imaginable. Many people in this country continue to spread their message in fear — John Kerry is a good example, calming we only have nine years. But Christians can boldly declare Psalm 24:1–2 to all the fearful tactics.

“The earth is the LORD’S, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

Tools. For he has founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.” As a child of God, we know that the Lord has kept the earth for many years, and He will continue to establish it with His care.

If Christians give up on the hope we have in Jesus, then the enemy will overtake us with more fearful tactics. No one goes on the battlefield and wins in fear. We must be bold and believe that a change is coming. The change we need, in all honesty, is more spiritual than physical. Let us not give up because it seems that wickedness is winning. We should continue to pray for the movement of the Lord upon the land.

Seasons are Due to Change

As America continues to face a wind of change, there is a God whom we know cannot change. Believers should stand firm in biblical principles. We cannot look to the government or to man, for Jeremiah 17:5–6 says:

“Thus says the LORD: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart departs from the LORD. For he shall be like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see when good comes, but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land which is not inhabited.”

Every good thing comes from God, not from man. Therefore, let us keep our eyes on the prize.

What is happening now in the country shall pass. If it is for the better, we thank the Lord Jesus, and even if it is for the worst, we still thank Him. Christians in America must be fervent in prayer waiting for the time in which the country will be directed in a pathway that emphasizes life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness in God and not in a country. Remember one of the last major empires to come about — Rome, which fell from the prosperity it once had. There are many reasons for its fall, but I love to conclude that Rome did its time as to how the Lord wanted it, and then He made the empire irrelevant. Nothing is wrong if He chooses to do the same with America, but our Christian desire is for the country to fulfill all its God-given purposes.

Christians in America should fight the good fight of faith in the Lord. They should take a stand to establish His will in the Church, believers’ lives, communities and the country. God has a plan — we just need to go with His flow.

The Highest High ~ Jesus!
