America it is just a test; if we seek the Lord, our country will turn for the best.
With all that is taking place in America’s current affairs, many must be wondering where the Lord Jesus Christ is. It doesn’t matter where He is, but knowing that He is Lord is essential. When I came to America in the mid-2000s, I did not expect to see a bed of roses, but to embrace the opportunities in the United States and which aren’t as plentiful in the Caribbean islands. I found these opportunities and taken up so many of them; it is enough to thank the Lord. Since I came from a country that is corrupted, I never expected America to be less corrupted. One must understand that humans will always fall into their sin nature, which is the problem of the entire world: SIN.
The Greatness of America
After the foundations of America formed with two of the nation’s major blood battles, a country no-one saw before came into power. Many will point out to many of the beasts mentioned in the Bible and say it is America. This is so because one of the most robust foundations was ever set — the separation of church and state. Today, what interpreters did not understand is that the partition only meant that the state would never oppress or dictate the church. However, the church could give the state godly counsel. The last time this took place in America’s history was with Billy Graham and the 9/11 attack.
After soaring to greater glory, America helped the world fight many battles. The nation becomes victorious and now is viewed as a superpower, even the most potent country globally. Apart from helping the world to stay free, America has been the tool for the Lord to spread the gospel and a resource to help nations in times of need. The goodness of this nation outweighs all it’s bad. Also, for sure, the country was built on Christian principles; in return, the Lord Jesus Christ bless America.
America: The Most Envied
After beating the British and establishing a name for itself, America has been the most envied nation since it was born. Many dignitaries from the old world spoke about it collapsing. Such speech never left America’s history. Even with what is happening now, the elections, and the uproars, many continue to say “the Great Babylon” is falling. However, America can bet on one thing, the more they speak of its downfall, the more favor they receive from the one and true God.
So far, no nation can be accredited with America’s achievements in the modern world; therefore, the question is this: who does not want their country to replace America’s power? Is it China, Russia, even Great Britain? It doesn’t matter how much America sees some of these nations as allies; they envied the country in return. This envious act will lead them to do anything to bring it down. Sadly, Americans do not know what they have, and they are willing to fall for the traps of the Judases.
God is in Control
Since America has the best military power in the world, those who envy the nation know that the only way to bring it down is to cause an uproar among its citizens. Besides this, they hope that the turmoil will turn the country into a civil war. If this becomes possible, then it will prove the haters right. However, what they are forgetting is God; He is the master planner. Therefore, just as He spoke through Daniel the prophet, God “changes the times and the seasons: He removes kings, and sets up kings: He gives wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding: He reveals the deep and secret things: He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with Him, (Daniel 2: 21–22). Another scripture put it like this, “God has spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongs unto God.”
As I grow in my Christian walk, I continue to see that men have no fear for God. What is surprising is that in the year 2020, and even today, we see how mighty men feel they are. When the Word of the Lord says, “For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower thereof fall away” (1 Peter 1:24). In the end, all who are involved will not have the final say, and unless they repent, they shall surely perish. God knows the work of the good, just as He knows the work of the wicked. The scripture assures believers, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap. For he that sows to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that sows to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting” (Gal. 6: 7–8).
Not only is God just, but He is merciful. God’s scale can never become imbalanced. America was built on a righteous, firm foundation that was based on Judea-Christian principles. Having such a strong root will take more than the chaos manifesting now to tear down this country. What is happening now is nothing new to America’s history, even though they may never have seen it as bad as it is. However, God has a way to pull them out, and surely, He will come through for them.
God is Not a Man that He Should Lie
Many believers in the body of Christ find it hard to swallow what is happening. Indeed, they should never take what is manifesting in the nation but rather use the manifestation as an opportunity for fervent prayer and seeking the Lord to do something might in the land. The country in which I was born is less developed than America by far; however, if I tell them that legally a couple is allowed to murder a child on the day of birth, they will find it as evil and morally bankrupt. With this, one can easily see that America has some spiritual wickedness in high places.
It doesn’t matter how difficult it will become; it is still as Daniel prophesied, “the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits” Daniel 11:32b. There are people in the land who God has equipped for this time in America’s history, and many of these people do not live in the country, but the Lord has placed them on an intercessory mission for the country. In the end, God wins. It will be well with the country and the people; we just have to trust the Lord in what He is doing at this time. We may not know how and when, but the Lord will deliver America just like the three Hebrew men; we just have to continue to pray and believe Him.
